Evening Cumulus is created with upcycled handmade paper. I make the paper from remnant warp yarns from my loom. It is another step in my goal of reducing my studio waste towards zero impact.
This piece reminds me of a powerful evening sunset vista. The indirect sunlight creates a myriad of colors on the large clouds and provides a sense of awe for its majestic scope. The differing textures of the paper are reminiscent of cloud layers that add colorful hues to the evening sky. To me, Evening Cumulus embodies many of those emotions and stirs the imagination.
